A Lisbonne, la Fashion Week est un rendez-vous incontournable pour tout socialite qui se respecte. Les photographes ne se plient pas en quatre pour un street style de modasse redac’ chef mais s’agenouillent volontiers pour dégoter un sourire ultra Bright de super star du petit écran. Le front row mixe stars de TV Novela, présentateurs vedettes ou stars de la chanson. Parallèlement à ce show permanent, les défilés sont aussi là pour soutenir la mode portugaise et ses nouveaux talents. Tour d’horizon de trois créateurs qui nous ont marqué.

In Lisbon, Fashion Week is a crucial event for any self-respecting socialite. Here, photographers don’t bend over backwards to capture the street style of fashion’s editors-in-chief, but can be found grovelling at the feet of small-screen stars hoping for the flash of an ultra Bright smile. The front row is a mix of telenovela stars, celebrity anchors and famous musicians. On top of this continuous spectacle are the runway shows, there to display the latest and the newest talents in Portuguese fashion. Three designers that caught our eye :

V!tor

V!tor, c’est un peu la coqueluche de la presse étrangère. Avant son défilé, il claque la bise au front row et repart tout guilleret en backstage pour donner le coup d’envoi de son show.
Le thème pour l’été prochain s’articule autour de l’univers gypsy et de ses couleurs chaudes. Un méli mélo de technicolor à l’horizontale s’acoquine avec tout un tas d’oversized kaki, qui viennent parfaire l’esthétique casual propre à ses créations.

V!tor

V!tor is on his way to becoming the darling of the foreign press. Before his runway show, he greeted the front row with theatrical cheek-kisses before bouncing backstage to get things started. Next summer’s themes are structured around the warm colours of the gypsy universe. A cacophony of horizontal technicolor bands together with a heap of oversized khaki, perfecting his designs’ particular casual aesthetic.

La sublissime salle des archives de la mairie de Lisbonne, possible décor de film façon Harry Potter, voit défiler une armada de BG fuselés. Passé la délectation visuelle de ces beaux corps, on s’intéresse aux imprimés psychédéliques inspirés par “l’environnement naturel”. Perso, j’y vois surtout des taches d’encre hyper stylisés à la manière du test de Rorschach. Sacs à dos oversized, corps moulés, le petit écolier mue et se transforme en bombe de sensualité.

Ricardo Dourado

Ancré dans des thématiques très fortes, chaque défilé de Ricardo raconte un mouvement. Pour l’été prochain, les gangs gardent leurs styles décontracts avec la chemise nouée à la taille mais se parent d’organza, de vestes grungy déstructurées et de futes bi-matières. Les filles comme les mecs se dévoilent sous des transparences aux imprimés dark, le blanc et le gris s’accrochent aux tissus pour offrir une allure urbaine chic qui casse les codes du street-wear.

The majestic archives of Lisbon’s city hall, a perfect location for the next Harry Potter-type film, played host to an armada of beautiful and chic bodies. Once we tore our eyes away from the delicious spectacle, we were caught by the psychedelic prints, inspired by the ‘natural environment’. Personally, I saw a lot of hyperstylized ink stains, reminiscent of the Rorschach test. Oversized backpacks, cast bodies; the schoolboy shakes off his skin and transforms into a bomb of sensuality.

Ricardo Dourado

Anchored by very strong themes, each of Ricardo’s runway shows recounts a movement: for next summer, the gangs will be holding on to their relaxed style. Shirts, buttoned right to the top, are partnered with organza, deconstructed grungy vests and futesbi materials. Under dark prints on transparent materials girls and guys alike are bare, while white and grey tones hang off the fabrics to create a chic urban look that pushes the frontiers of streetwear.
