Made in China chair collection by Emilie Voirin
Emilie Voirin est une designer française qui travaille à Londres. In 2009, sa collection de chaises Made in China, qui revisite les créations mythiques en rotin, a été acquise par le prestigieux Neue Sammlung à Munich, une véritable reconnaissance officielle de la valeur de son travail venant à la fois de l'art et du monde du design. Un exemple de son travail: la chaise en rotin "Emmanuelle is shy", qui cache le visage de la personne assise, est une pièce très imagée qui aime jouer avec l'homme .
Emilie Voirin is a French product designer working in London. In 2009, her collaborative chair collection Made in China, which revisits iconic designs in rattan, was acquired by the prestigious Neue Sammlung design collection in Munich, a true formal acknowledgments of the value of her work from both the art and design worlds. One example of her work: the rattan chair "Emmanuelle is Shy", which hides the face of the sitter, is a very playful and pictorial piece.
