Excentrique by Daniel Buren

Cette année, pour la 5ème édition de sa Monumenta, le Grand Palais a donné carte blanche à l'artiste Daniel Buren. Et le résultat est coloré! Le pape des installations in situ a choisi de jouer avec la lumière naturelle de la nef, et y a installé une forêt de disques translucides bleus, oranges, jaunes et verts. L'oeuvre est soutenue par 1500 piliers noirs et blancs, véritable signature de l'artiste. Après l'impressionnant Léviathan d'Anish Kapoor en 2011, Daniel Buren nous offre un extraordinaire bain de couleurs variant au gré du ciel parisien.

This year, for the 5th edition of its Monumenta, the Grand Palais gave carte blanche to the artist Daniel Burel. And the result is quite lively! The high priest of in situ installations chose to play with the natural light of the nave, and set up a lot of blue, orange, yellow and green translucent discs. The work of art is carried by 1500 black and white pillars, the signature of the artist. After the impressing Léviathan by Anish Kapoor in 2011, Daniel Buren presents us a wonderful coloured experience, as the parisian sky dictates.
